Francisco Alonso is a landmark figure in the history of Spanish lyrical theater. He was an immensely successful composer, with an exceptional catalog of lyrical works across a wide range of genres: sainetes, zarzuelas, musical skits, revues, operettas, farces, musical comedies, hymns, cuplés, and pasodobles.
Emilia Llanos Medina was a key figure in the artistic scene of Granada prior to the Spanish Civil War. A friend of the great creators who lived in or passed through the city, she was able to support and appreciate the new literary, musical, and pictorial movements that emerged in Granada from the 1920s onward.
